The Förderverein Flughafen Mönchengladbach e.V. was founded in 2000 on the initiative of the regional business community with the aim of supporting the development of Düsseldorf Mönchengladbach Airport.

As an innovation platform and community, Foodhub NRW networks players in the agricultural and food industry from the field to the shelf. The aim is to proactively strengthen the food industry and gastronomy in Mönchengladbach through the association and its network.

The aim of the Verein der Freunde historischer Luftfahrzeuge e.V. is to raise public interest in the history and presence of German aviation. Founded in Düsseldorf in 1991 and relocated to Gladbach in 1997, the VFL now has over 70 members – all of them “fans of good old aunty Ju”.

The WFMG has been maintaining a strategic partnership with the DLR – the German Aerospace Center – since 2012. This first innovation partnership in Germany between the DLR and a municipal business development agency enabled the establishment of the SIZ@MG Steinbeis innovation centre. The aim of the partnership is to inspire medium-sized companies to innovate and to identify opportunities. You can read more about this topic here.
The WFMG cooperates with the euregio rhein-maas-nord, of which the city of Mönchengladbach is a member. The Euregio, one of five along the German-Dutch border, is committed to making the European integration process tangible and serves as a point of contact for residents and companies. The overall aim is to reduce the barriers of the international border to living, working, studying and doing business and to strengthen the identity of the region so it is seen as a region in its own right.
Holland Property Plaza (HPP) is an independent Dutch marketing and networking company for public and private organisations working in real estate trading and development. Together with the HPP network, the WFMG (the official HPP member is the WFMG parent company EWMG) has already hosted a number of exchange events and is currently working closely with the network on the people-2-people project “real estate without borders”.
