SmartCity-Summit.Niederrhein

With the first edition of „SmartCity-Summit.Niederrhein“, the starting signal was given in 2021 for a new type of event series, which is to place Mönchengladbach on the nationwide SmartCity map with increasing impact in the future. This is where the public sector meets industry on an annual basis. Experts in digitization as well as managers from small and medium-sized businesses, innovative start-ups, institutions and associations from science and research and numerous players from local authorities are working together to shape the city of tomorrow.

The SmartCity-Summit.Niederrhein is jointly organized by the City of Mönchengladbach, the Mönchengladbach Economic Development Corporation (WFMG) and NEW AG. Participants can look forward to a modern exhibition area with innovative product presentations, specialist talks and inspiring keynote speakers. The future event is also part of the Smart City strategy process of the city of Mönchengladbach, even though it focuses on the entire Lower Rhine region: In the spirit of an Open Strategy, participants will have the opportunity to contribute their know-how and ideas in order to network with decision-makers from the Lower Rhine region and the Rhenish mining district. Case studies and project ideas will be collected for the city’s Smart City strategy process on various topic levels.
